Athletics academies
Athletics isn't one sport but a dozen events, and an athletics academy is organised around that: event groups, specialist coaches and athletes who often train in more than one.
Most athletics academies start young athletes in a general group, running, jumping and throwing a bit of everything. From around the early teens they move into event groups: sprints and hurdles, jumps, throws, and middle and long distance, each with a coach who specialises in it.
In AcademyPro each event group, and each age group, is a group with its own coaches and sessions. Athletes regularly sit in more than one. A sprinter who long-jumps, or a heptathlete who touches everything, simply belongs to every group they train with and appears on each coach's register, without a duplicate record.
An athletics session might use the track, the jumps pit and the throwing area at once, and most academies share a stadium or school track with other users. Add your venues and their track and field areas, then schedule recurring sessions for each group with the coach assigned. Clashes are flagged before a session is saved.
Early-morning sessions are common, and so are changes when a stadium is booked for an event. Postpone or cancel a session and every athlete and parent in that group gets a notification.
A lot of an athlete's work happens away from the coach: a running plan for the weekend, strength work, mobility, or a rehabilitation plan after an injury. Coaches can assign skill, fitness, rehabilitation and diet programmes to each athlete, and athletes see them in the AcademyPro app.
Body composition records can be kept on the profile, and coaches rate athletes after each session, so the profile becomes a running record of how an athlete is developing. AcademyPro doesn't keep results tables or personal bests, so many coaches note those on the profile alongside the programme.
Growing athletes pick up overuse injuries, and a coach needs to know who should be easing off. Injuries and illnesses are recorded on the athlete's profile with their severity and marked as active, being monitored or recovered. Your registration form can ask for health conditions, blood group and emergency contacts from the start.
Parents can request leave in their app when their child is unwell or away, and an approved absence is marked as excused on the register automatically.
The monthly fee is the steady part: set one for the academy with a sibling discount, override it for a group that trains more often, and give an athlete their own fee or a full sponsorship. Invoices go out each month and unpaid ones get reminders on the 5th, 7th and 10th.
Competition season brings entry fees, travel and kit. Make a list of the athletes competing, send them the details as a notice, and raise a one-off invoice to just those athletes. Spikes, vests and tracksuits can be sold through the academy shop in the app.

Ask in your own words and it answers from your academy's records. Anything marked "Does it" is prepared for you to check, and happens when you confirm.
Yes. An athlete can be in as many groups as they train with, say sprints and jumps, and appears on each group's register.
Yes. Coaches can assign skill, fitness, rehabilitation and diet programmes, which athletes see in the app. Body composition records can be kept on the profile too.
Not as results tables. Coaches rate athletes after each session and keep notes and programmes on their profile, so progress builds up over time.
